New In Person Workshop - Introduction to Gouache

I have some exciting news, I’m going to be teaching my first in person workshop since 2020! It’s been a minute, right? I can’t believe it’s been five years, since I last taught a workshop in person, but I’m so excited to get back to it. I will be teaching an Introduction to Gouache Painting workshop at Patch here in Colchester.

This will be a fun, relaxed two hour workshop, introducing the medium of gouache, creating different consistencies and effects with the paint, doing some colour mixing, creating a beautiful, limited colour palette, practising brushstrokes, and then putting that all together to paint a still life. This workshop is great opportunity to relax, meet other like-minded creatives, learn new skills and have some fun. All the materials you need are provided, as well as a hot drink at Patch. I’m so excited to share the wonderful medium of gouache with you!

This workshop is appropriate for both complete beginners and those with previous painting experience.

This workshop will take place at the beautiful independent café Patch. Patch is in central Colchester and is easily reached by public transport from buses or the train and there are numerous carparks around Colchester. The venue is wheelchair accessible.
